I investigated origins of 28 herbal oriental medicines in pharmacopoeias and standard collections of China, Taibei, Japan, South and North Korea in order to the basic works for editing of Herbal Pharmacopoeia. The results were obtained as follows:
1. I could find a point of difference in origins of several herbal oriental medicines. For example, those were Pruni Semen Ulmi Pumilae Cortex ( n l_) , Stellariae Radix (WkM) and Artemisiae Capillaris Herba (M ) .
2. I think that we should make clear medicinal point of Nelumbinis Rhizomatis Nodus (AM), Curcumae Radix (W ) , Clematidis Radix (1AN111.1) , Potentillae Chinensis Herba ( V V , Ulmi Pumilae Cortex ( OLVE) , Humuli Herba ( -V) , Lonicerae Caulis G9* ) and Artemisiae Capillaris Herba (M ) .
According to above these results, we should many studies on the point of difference in medicinal origins in order to base works of oriental herb pharmacopoeia.
